Perfect for couples, families or friends, this dog-friendly property offers comfortable accommodation in a quiet location, just a short walk from Derwentwater and within easy reach of Keswick.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area provides a bright and relaxing space to unwind after a day exploring the Lake District. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for a comfortable stay, while the dining area and lounge offer plenty of room to relax. The apartment also benefits from WiFi and a washer/dryer, making it suitable for both short breaks and longer stays.
Withesike has two double bedrooms, offering accommodation for up to four guests. A modern family bathroom completes the layout. The apartment is located on the first floor within Derwent House, a traditional Lakeland building in the heart of Portinscale.
Withesike benefits from off-street parking to the rear of the property, subject to availability. The apartment is ideally positioned on the popular Derwentwater walking route, with the lake, Derwentwater Marina and Nichol End boat hire just a five-minute stroll away. The popular Chalet tearooms are also nearby, and Keswick town centre, with its shops, restaurants and attractions, is around a 15-minute walk across Portinscale bridge.
We’re delighted to welcome dogs at Withesike, so your four-legged companion can enjoy a relaxing Lake District break too. An additional charge applies for dogs.

Directions:
- Travelling west towards Cockermouth from Keswick on the A66 take the first exit signed to Portinscale.
- Proceed into the village, past the Farmers Arms on the left-hand side and carry on for approx. 200m.
- As the road bends to the right in the centre of the village, turn left. Follow the smaller of the brown signs toward the Derwentwater Hotel.
- Derwent House is at the end of the terraced building on your left-hand side.
- The front door is on the side of the building in the corner, practically overlooking the entrance to the Derwentwater Hotel car park.
- You can park directly outside the front door to load and unload.
- Withesike apartment is the first apartment up the stairs.
- There is on street parking in front of the Derwentwater hotel or use one of the first three spaces directly behind Derwent House. These spaces do not belong to Derwent House, but we have permission to use them however you may find they are already occupied.
