• Travelling west on the A66 towards Keswick from Penrith, take the first exit signed to Keswick and Windermere.
• At the T junction with the A591, turn left (away from town) and follow Chestnut Hill up the hill for approx. 500 metres.
• As the road bends, turn first right onto Manor Brow (sign for Castlerigg Manor) and follow the road down all the way to the bottom of the hill. This road turns into Ambleside Road at the bottom.
• Please ignore any signs stating ‘No Access To Town Centre’ and ‘No Access beyond Church Street’
• Immediately after passing St John’s Church on the left, which is directly opposite the front of Chaucer House, turn right into Church Street.
• At the bottom of Church Street, turn right again into Southey Street and almost immediately right again, before Chaucer Lodge, into the car park for Chaucer House.
• Go up the little rise to the car park and turn right. Your car parking space is number 9.
From the car park, to access the building you need to go to the door on the far left. Then Chaucer Apartment is on the 2nd floor, door number 9.
